Like humans, puppies can be born with or develop an intolerance to food during their first year. Common food allergens include chicken and beef protein, soy, wheat and corn. When digested, they cause the immune system to react. Signs of an intolerance or sensitivity can include vomiting, diarrhoea, paw chewing and skin rashes.
